Justin Hannah National Player of the Year!

After spending years of evaluation talent across the country. Research shows that if you attend a Division I school you have a better opportunity to become drafted by a professional organization even if your talent is sub par to a DII or lower ranked school. For instance Jerry Rice arguably is one of the best receivers of all time. Although Jerry Rice was selected as the 16th pick overall by the San Francisco 49rs most feel that if he had attended a school such as Texas A&M, Pitt, or OU Jerry would have been drafted within the top 5 pics. The same goes for NFL greats such as 5th round pick Robert Mathis (Colts), or un drafted QB Kurt Warner. This year I put my theory to the test. I followed a defensive back named Justin Hannah from Tuskegee University. Justin had led his team to championships. Voted consecutive player of the year, defensive player, and several of awards to follow. As one of the best nickle backs that I have ever seen Justin recorded 19 interception, and 6 touchdowns during his collegiate career. On paper Justin's on field stats surpass several the other corners that were drafted in this years 2010 draft. The question is why? I take my hats off to the Cleveland Browns who brought Justin in as a free agent. Joe Hayden (FL)is one of the best corner backs that I have seen, and will be playing along side of Justin for the Cleveland Browns. This duo should make a huge impact for the Browns. These two could possibly best CB dou for years to come. After researching the questions that I pose are: is it fair to say that you will make millions less because you went to a DII school? Does this same theory hold true when applying for a job? Should you receive less pay at a place like IBM because you did not attend MIT, but you did graduate at the top of your class at a school like Texas Southern University.

  1. Justin is a great back. It is heartbreaking for anyone applying for a job to get passed over due to the University that they have attended. Justin is a very gifted athlete with an eye for the ball. I wish him the best! GO Browns!
